I had already completed my first Joan of Arc commission and was in the middle of painting my second, Joan on her horse, when I received an email from the Art Association of New Orleans. The email included information about submitting to the "Joan of Art" art show put on by the Joan of Arc Project and Ariodante Gallery of New Orleans. I jumped at the chance to submit. I heard back soon after that I was chosen as one of the top 9 artists to have submitted and that my work would be featured in their Joan of Art show for the month of September! Below is all of the information. If you can come by the gallery (strict Covid restrictions in place) on opening day, Saturday, September 5th, you can catch me and the other artists there! The Joan of Art Show opening reception is on Saturday September 5th from 9:30AM - 6:00PM at Ariodante Gallery in New Orleans: 535 Julia Street
"Join Krewe de Jeanne d'Arc and Ariodante Gallery in this collaborative "Joan of Art" show, featuring the top ten contest winners from the Joan of Arc Project's first annual "Joan of Art" contest, which garnered local, state, and national submissions. Art will be on display and for sale throughout the month of September 2020. Come anytime on or after opening day September 5th but be prepared to make a reservation or wait your turn as there will be strict Covid restrictions limiting people in the gallery to 10 at a time."
